2021 JEA Award Nominations

Hawaii Scholastic Journalism Association has nominated three individuals for Journalism Education Association awards.

Friend of Scholastic Journalism Award – Kevin Knodell, Civil Beat reporter and Report for America fellow, spoke to high school students about his job.
Friend of Scholastic Journalism Award – Jay Hartwell organized and hosted the 2021 Hawaii Scholastic Journalism Awards Ceremony.
Rising Star Award – Jessica Hanthorn advises Na Pueo, the student news outlet for Mid-Pacific Institute
